Has anyone told you about The Spaghetti Incident? It's the historical event that led to the creation of this beautiful pasta restaurant, where authentic Italian cooking and hospitality pave the way to an unforgettable evening.
Owned and operated by a true Roman, The Spaghetti Incident embodies everything that Italians, and now Bristolians, hold dear. That's to say amazing, unpretentious food in a warm, jovial atmosphere. The restaurant itself takes on the form of a modern trattoria, with rustic wooden furniture, cosy bistro dining and even a merry Vespa parked in the corner. With homey touches that give it a familiar feel, this restaurant is always a sight for sore eyes.
And they have plenty of homemade comfort food to match! Before you set off on your pasta odyssey, graze on some Roman style arancini with a range of fillings, from leek and creamy gorgonzola to mushroom and truffle oil. Alternatively, go for some parma ham on fresh focaccia or some exclusive Provolone cheese with confit tomatoes and almond crumble. This is soul food and then some.
Now onto the star of the show. Made fresh every day, forks at the ready for the likes of tagliatelle topped with lamb and chicken ragu, mortadella and ricotta-stuffed ravioli and a spinach tonnarelli with a punchy red pesto. And for a taste of the incident itself, it has to be the spaghetti dish with prawns and courgettes. Finally, the Tiramisu factory is lovingly preparing five (yes five!) different types of dessert! Hello new realms of bliss.
