An authentic slice of Japan has arrived in Glasgow; this is Ramen Dayo.

Queen Street has welcomed the noodle bar with open arms – step inside and you’ll find yourself in a Japanese market. Lanterns hang from the ceiling, emitting a warm glow whilst a traditional Yatai ramen cart stands to attention next to the sake bar which is sheltered by bamboo. It’s bustling and lively; everything a market should be.

As the name suggests, there is Ramen aplenty, from the collagen-rich tonkotsu and tantanmen, to the lighter chicken and veggie ramen. If that doesn’t fill your boots, juicy gyoza dumplings should do the trick or add some crunch to proceedings with their fresh edamame beans!

Step towards the bamboo-clad bar for a refreshing Kirin or Sapporo beer. Alternatively, there is an extensive range of Japanese soft drinks, gins and whiskies on offer and if you want to keep it seriously Japanese, you can’t go wrong with a bottle of sake!ttle of sake!
