Arepa & Co Haggerston

It’s not every day you come across a Venezuelan restaurant. That’s where Arepa and Co comes in, serving London something a bit different.

Just five minutes from Haggerston Overground station is this little restaurant that has personality oozing from every corner and crevice. Menus are written on the walls in chalk and the different coloured chairs and playful hammocks make everything that little bit more fun.

Whether you opt for Arepas (cornbread with a tasty filling), Cachapas (pancakes with equally tasty fillings) or a traditional rice bowl, it’s always delicious and filling. Take your pick of fillings for your Arepa, from shredded beef with beans and cheese chicken thighs with avocado.

The Cachapas have similar fillings on offer, as well as veggie options like roast veg and goats cheese or black beans and plantain. Alternatively, fill your boots with a mound of rice with their various toppings, like beef, chicken, black beans and palm hearts.
