Coming in hot for wine lovers in Spitalfields, Alfi has landed in the trendy borough with its incredible range of European wines that are primed for lush and fragrant Italian plates.

Modelling themselves as a wine pub, Alfi is one member of a flourishing trend of cosy, homey eateries that specialise in wines rather than pub beers. Following their love of the humble crushed grape, you can expect 10 wines on tap that are 100% organic and biodynamic. Alfi opened their space in early December. You'll find them where Leon used to be in the market and they're cosy enough that you might want to enjoy a lazy late-night supper while you're there.

They're keeping things uncomplicated with a distilled food menu that has just a few choices but boasts some incredible flavours. Experience the Mediterranean Sea at its best with their 'King Prawns and lovage mayo'. They also serve a number of dishes cooked on their outdoor grill, such as their especially popular 'Beef tagliata with bordelaise' which melts in your mouth and offers a handheld burst of savoury goodness.

The real drama, however, can be found at the bottom of a rich Sicilian white!
