What used to be 103 Parkway is now Gharr, a new restaurant concept that is bound to light up Camden's dining scene with beautiful Japanese fusion eats.
Gharr has to be one of the most unique offerings in the borough of Camden. They've allowed intricacy and sophistication to inspire their entire restaurant concept. High-end materials like marble and slate have created a lean and streamlined aesthetic that is complimented by the simplicity of monochromatic furniture and naked lightbulbs. It remains, however, based on the joy of community and gives diners a flavour of authentic eateries in Japan with a touch of Nepalese charm.
Without further ado, let's dive into this new concept which promises to tantalise the tastebuds from start to finish. Begin with some melt-in-the-mouth sashimi before moving on to sushi plates which include seared salmon, unagi and yellowtail rolls, as well as some really epic California rolls.
Mains take a leaf out of the Nepalese cookbook with signature chicken momos, vegetable curry and chicken curry. Japan also gets a look-in with marinated black cod and chicken skewers with rice. Finally, refresh the pallet with some mango or green tea mochi. And with a stellar range of Japanese whiskeys and beers behind the bar, this is Japanese fusion at its best.
