Where modern French gastronomy meets the electricity and vivaciousness of the London fine dining scene, Aubaine is having diners fall in love with the sophistication of French cooking all over again.

In Brompton Road, Aubaine is putting on quite a show with regal furniture with minimalist surroundings. Here, two diametrically opposed worlds collide as stone grey walls, upon which there are no adornments, make a serene and soothing setting for certain extravagances on the floor level that make this a French bistro unlike any other. Fairytales come true with beautiful wine cabinets, soft lighting and waiters appropriately dressed for an afternoon or evening of French excellence.

Brunch lovers will be excited for Aubaine's French take on the most distinguished meal of the day. As well as the usual eggs benedict and eggs royale, they're taking things up a notch with their very own eggs imperial that combines poached eggs with lobster, hollandaise sauce and an English muffin. The same goes for their scrambled eggs that go further with a touch of shaved truffle. Simply exquisite.

For lunch and supper, simple yet perfect plates remain the pièce de résistance. Stonebass is cooked just the right amount to retain its delicate texture and flavour whilst wagyu patties remain juicy and succulent, complemented further with salad and a celeriac remoulade. Diners will also find grass-fed 28-day-aged British beef forming their impressive steaks that are served with peppercorn sauce and French fries.

Finally, with patisserie almost too pretty to eat and a thoughtful range of dessert wines, cognacs and cocktails, thus ends your fore into modern French cooking.
