The decor might be a barrel of laughs, but the food is taken very seriously. Game faces on; now let's choose a starter. Bistro food doesn't get more traditional than their light-as-air blue cheese mousse, Irish beef fillet tartare or duck leg tartlet. For a taste of pure luxury, their hot n' sour lobster broth is hair-raising.

And there are no half measures when it comes to the mains; rich and comforting food is the order of the day with their slow-cooked beef cheek, roast lamb loin and the immense black and white pudding pork burger. Now if that doesn't blow your skirt off, nothing will!
