Lucent blue fish and brick-red prawns, glistening with the sheen of fresh herbs, beckon you into Nostos' whirlwind of Greek cuisine. Before the founding duo picked up their pans, the Greek city of Thessaloniki was already a culinary wonderland. Twenty years ago, head chef Alex and passionate foodie Kyriakos shared the vision of recreating the magnificent City by the Sea right here in Hove. Firmly believing that a restaurant boasting a contemporary Greek flavour was missing from the city, they opened their doors to a promise of authentic cooking.

Vegan and vegetarian options take centre-stage with vegan feta available to both provide a creamy substitute and hearty meat-free mains. On a summer's day, the light may stream across russet tables, while a warmly lit evening room would inspire you to try filo-wrapped feta with caramelised honey and Greek nuts.

Brighton's vibrant arts scene is celebrated at Nostos, which regularly exhibits artwork by a rotating band of talented, supporting artists. A shindig wouldn't be right without a shandy, so don't only drink Greek yoghurt in your tzatziki but drink it in a cocktail too!
