Starfish & Coffee

Starfish & Coffee is an independent neighbourhood café that offers a cosy spot specialising in brunch and pizzas, paired with excellent coffee located at Egremont Gate by beautiful Queens Park, just a 10-15 minute walk from the Royal Pavilion.

They have been named as "The Number 1 Brunch Spot in Brighton & Hove" by Time Out Magazine as well as winning the Brighton Restaurant Awards Best Cafe title in 2019, 2020 & 2024 and Best Brunch Award in 2018 & 2022.

Brunch is served seven days a week and the menu ranges from classics such as full breakfasts, eggs Florentine and chorizo hash, to their seasonal twists on dishes such as Turkish eggs, avocado smash and weekly specials with plenty of vegan and gluten-free options.

They're proud to only use organic free-range eggs from Mac's Farm in Ditchling as well as other local suppliers such as Bodiam Meats, Brighton Sausage Company, The Cheese Man, The Flour Pot Bakery and Fika Bakery. Their single-origin house coffee is roasted in Brighton by Skylark, a registered charity who give all of their profit to good causes. You'll also find regular guest roasts available on their filter machine.

On Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings, they collaborate with local takeaway legends Pizzaface who supply their incredible fresh dough and toppings nightly, with Starfish & Coffee cooking your pizza to perfection and serving it straight from the oven directly to your table. You can’t have pizza without delicious sides, salads, puddings, craft beer or wine, so thankfully they're laying those on too.
