Om Burger

Making a name for themselves with unbelievable plant-based burgers, Om Burger is not one for blending into the crowd. Indeed, their colourful presence in Stokes Croft is hard to miss!

Anyone who's visited this charming Bristolian neighbourhood will have spotted Om's neck of the woods. Its high walls are graffitied head to toe, showcasing some of the most mesmerising art in the area and making a bold splash on the high street. A veggie market as well as an unforgettable burger joint, the entrance welcomes diners with baskets of fresh, local produce, leading the way to an equally colourful interior that stays true to Om's soulful, community approach.

The brains behind all this? Nick Makin and Rory Perriment, are the innovators of vegetarian and vegan cuisines who are creating new tastes and textures that are also ethical and sustainable. For breakfast, make it a hearty affair with the veggie or vegan big breakfast, both brimming with sausages, tater tots, eggs/scrambled tofu, stewed veggies and toast. Alternatively, opt for a loaded sourdough toast, breakfast muffin or a smoky, tomatoey shakshuka.

Dinner is when the burgers come into play, bringing forth black bean patties, vegan 'beef' and 'chick'n' patties, Korean fried portobello mushrooms and vegan hotdogs, all accompanied by a whole host of salady bits, cheese, salsas and sauces. Add on some loaded fries, cauliflower bites or mac n' cheese if you're feeling really ambitious and wash it down with a refreshing pint of Bristol's own Moor beer. And if it's a school night, knock back some fruits from the market with freshly blitzed juice!
