With two AA Rosettes and a mention in the Michelin Guide, this is the place to reserve a table for anyone serious about celebrating food in all its forms. OXA is based in Oxton, a district full of Art Deco houses and rolling countryside views – what better backdrop for an elegant evening of dining?
Chef-patron and Liverpool native, Andy Sheridan is well known in this part of the world for '8 By Andy Sheridan' and this latest venture has started as it means to carry on: fresh ingredients carefully sourced from local suppliers and regularly changing menus. Seasonality is key here. Similar to its sister site, 8, OXA provides a beautifully considered menu that's just small enough not to cause decision fatigue.
The First Table offer is on their 8 course tasting menu which showcases dishes like Aged BBQ Beef Tartar, Tempura Chicken Win and Cumbrian Lamb.
Please note there are vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian options but they are only available with 72 hours notice.
OXA is a newcomer to Liverpool's increasingly diverse culinary scene, but it's carved a niche for origami plates of artistic, minimalistic food with a penchant for absolute quality.
