Preppy, modern and a sucker for that cutesy bubble tea culture, Ramo Ramen is a snapshot of modern life in one corner of Asia. They're taking inspiration from the bright streets of Tokyo, painting their restaurant a joyful shade of turquoise and pairing that with Izakaya-style dining, as well as informal group dining that gets the whole gang around the table. Small yet bursting with life, Ramo Ramen is a big fish in a small pond.

Time to get your slurp on for some of the best ramen this side of London, and they're heralding Japanese and Filipino flavours in equal measure. Up first has to be the chef-recommended curry ramen that features Tokyo noodles swimming in a luscious, spicy broth with a boiled egg and fried chicken. Its cousin is the chicken sopas which goes down a creamier route for those who have a low spice tolerance. Apart from that, there's the oxtail kare kare which is every bit as meaty as you'd expect, as well as a spicy seafood number, and miso mushroom.

And whilst it's in their name, ramen isn't all they do; they're also getting comfy with donburi bowls topped with black Angus bistek and fried chicken katsu. And seeing as you're on this side of the world, it'd be amiss not to freshen up with a mango, lychee or matcha bubble tea!
