Clearly visible from the high street due to its exterior-facing glass wall, one can see that Nida is putting a classy spin on Thai cuisine. Decked out with beautifully upholstered spotless white chairs, you know they're in the business of treating their guests like royalty. All around, glistening gold statues, tapestries and paintings remind diners of the inspiration behind this restaurant - and it's a far cry from the Northwest of England!

Dinner is awash with possibilities that range from sizzling mains to nourishing soups, fiery stir fries, fresh seafood and Thai curries. Soups work very well as a starter, and you can't get much more authentic than Tom Kha which is wonderfully spicy, creamy and coconutty. Why not pair this rich broth with some satay chicken skewers or a couple of pieces of prawn toast? It shouldn't ruin your appetite for the main course.

Mains is where the drama kicks in in the form of dishes that announce their arrival by sizzling all the way to your table. At the top with the 'most dramatic entrance' has to be the weeping tiger which features marinated steak served on a hot plate that makes the accompanying spicy tamarind sauce bubble furiously.
