Recently renovated and back in business, everyone's glad to see the 'Open' sign back on The Stables' front door.

It is, after all, one of the most celebrated eateries in the whole of Bangor. Seamlessly merging modern and traditional motifs, The Stables presents itself as a historical building whilst inside, it is a vision of elegant, contemporary dining. Plush seating and dark furnishings are hosted by a spacious dining hall that's flooded with light during the daylight hours. Original farmhouse structures afford it a rustic cosiness whilst outside, the terrace boasts uninterrupted ocean views from its slightly elevated position. Serving a delicious mix of pub classics, as well as carefully selected crowd-pleasers from all around the world. Let's start with the local inspiration that includes crispy beer-battered cod and chips, scampi with crushed peas, a steak sandwich with a burnt onion mayo and lettuce, and the house's signature chicken stacker that's not short on moreish southern fried chicken.

As for other dishes, the theatrical amongst you will love the sizzler menu that's responsible for the most incredible crispy Thai chicken and roast Thai vegetables. Alternatively, you can always glean some Italian inspiration with The Stables' cheesy lasagne or creamy carbonara with the salty undertone of cured pancetta.
