A classic Victorian-style pub between the city centre and the jewellery quarter. The Shakespeare is a traditional British pub that specialises in real ale, gins and pies.
The interior is full of quirky "yesterdays" framed for you to take a look at what Birmingham was once like, partnered with a few classic antique cut mirrors including an original Bass piece. The inside takes you back in time, and the outside is a well-hidden, cosy area with heaters and a whole host of chair styles including a rocking chair!
Of course, the menu heralds the very best of British cuisine; we wouldn't have it any other way! Main dishes cover all the yummy bases, with fish and chips, a vegetable hot-pot pie, gammon steak and toad in the hole. They also have a ton of burgers, including a cauliflower, kale and cheese mash-up for vegetarians and the popular "beyond-meat" burger for the curious, and the vegan society.
Anyone who loves a great selection of alcohol will have to look no further, 5 well-selected seasonal ales will be available to choose from, along with over 30 gins, and a whole host of others including great alcohol-free section cider, lagers and pale ales.
