Culinary star Chef Rob Palmer is doing what he does best in central Solihull. Curating his own menu that combines modern and traditional British cooking, Toffs is a must-do for anyone who wants to enjoy British cuisine in a different light.
Within easy reach on the high street, Toffs envelops diners in its intimate world where only a handful of diners can eat at any one time. Toffs' exclusivity is certainly part of its charm, and its minimalist approach to décor makes it even more appealing. Not ones to cut corners when it comes to the finer details, you'll notice that every table setting is perfect and that all the action in the exposed kitchen is orderly and highly professional.
Back to the Chef now, and Chef Rob Palmer finetuned his cooking mastery using seasonal ingredients grown locally. You can expect the same here for lunch and dinner. For lunch, Toffs is offering a 4 and 5-course extravaganza, featuring proudly British ingredients like cod, mussels, strawberries and lamb, as well as lesser-known ingredients like sea vegetables and nettle.
Dinner is a much more elaborate affair with a 5 and 7-course offering. Every course centres on one ingredient, be that Orkney scallops, lamb, lettuce or chicken, and creates a delicious narrative surrounding it. Culinary innovation sees pairings like lemon balm and salted milk, chervil and Champagne, and tomatoes and yoghurt. All the courses come with a recommended wine pairing too, making a sublime evening of modern gastronomy all the more special.
