Housed in an incredible grade II building that was the previous home of British Linen Bank, this restaurant is regal in every sense. Sky-high patterned ceilings honour the Cathedral domes that form the skyline of many Italian cities whilst celestial pillars, confounding arched windows and antique bookshelves ground this eatery in fine dining practices of the past.

And they’re also heralding the oldest forms of Italian cooking, placing carefully chosen artisan ingredients at the forefront. Their charcuterie boards go above and beyond with exclusive cheeses sourced from all over Italy, and pair these with high-end salami and condiments. Other appetite ticklers include a delicate seabass carpaccio, marinated tuna tartare and oozing arancini balls.

Then comes the pasta. Freshly made every day, Piazza Italiana turns the most everyday ingredients into a gastronomic masterpiece, raising familiar plates like spaghetti vongole, pomodoro and radiatori con fungi to new heights.
