Hidden in the historic vaults of the National Portrait Gallery on Charing Cross Road is Larry’s. The speakeasy-style space boasts glamorous decor, live jazz, an extensive cocktail list, and an evening menu.
The atmosphere is not something Larry lacks; hidden underground, the space thrusts you back into the golden age of Jazz. With over one hundred notable portraits from the National Portrait Gallery’s collection adorning the room, you’ll find yourself in serious admiration.
Signature plates of food at Larry’s include house favourites such as the Larry’s Club sandwich, a stacked sandwich filled with bacon, roasted chicken, cheddar, tomatoes, lettuce and Kewpie mayonnaise, which is served with house crisps. Kick-off with a sharing charcuterie board topped with cornichon, sourdough and three cuts of local charcuterie made by London Smoke & Cure.
Spend the evening relishing a variety of classic cocktails inspired by the Jazz Age, expertly crafted by Larry’s mixologists. Sample Larry’s Old Fashioned, a tribute to the venue's moniker, or capture the spirit of actress Audrey Hepburn with The Hepburn, a contemporary twist on The White Lady.
