Brighton LGBTQ+ paradise Arcobaleno is here to stay! This stylish cafe and late-night bar serves a Maltese-inspired menu to lined bellies seven days a week! Located on Manchester Street, in Brighton’s famous Kemptown district popular with the gay community, Arcobaleno combines stunning decor with delicious food and fabulous events.

The interior of this Kemptown treasure retains a lot of the original features that once belonged to the 16th-century building. Think wooden floors, exposed brickwork, and original fireplaces, just with a fresh lick of white paint to lighten things up. It’s succeeded in creating a warm, homely setting perfect to rest up with some tasty small plates. The beer garden is a big pull of an evening, no matter what season you visit, and throughout Pride, they always pull out all the stops!

Arcobaleno's vibrant menu consists of all sorts of tasty bites, each one more tantalizing than the last. Sharing plates is the name of the game here, featuring exquisite dishes like gbejna cheesecake complete with honeycomb panels. Or try one of Arcobaleno's delightful mezze which includes Maltese sausage and local bread with olives and cheese, pantelleria capers and sundried tomatoes, tomato concasse, and a traditional Maltese ricotta pie. There are also five varieties of nocciole nutella doughnuts on offer, because if you didn’t order psychic’s fingers did you even go out?

Arcobaleno is leading the way for LGBTQ+ acceptance, but anyone, whatever their sexuality, is welcome to enjoy this local hangout. You’ll find the Kemptown gem on Manchester Street, a 10-15 minute walk way from Brighton train station. As you can probably tell already, we don’t need to tell you twice to drink and dine your way around the menu at Arcobaleno – it’s an LGBT Brighton crucial!
