Laila Edinburgh was born from a spark of inspiration during lockdown, brought to life by Sabrina, an accomplished private chef with a background in marketing and hospitality. Partnering with her friend Lisa, a creative entrepreneur, the duo envisioned a welcoming eatery where comfort food takes centre stage and fun is at the heart of everything.

Their shared vision became Laila, a stylish and inviting café with locations in both New Town and Old Town. The name, a blend of their own nicknames, also pays tribute to Lisa’s daughter, adding a personal touch to the brand. Laila is a place where delicious food, warm hospitality, and a joyful atmosphere come together effortlessly.

The interiors are cosy and vibrant, filled with bright colours and playful décor, creating an uplifting space that radiates happiness. The brunch menu is a nostalgic nod to childhood favourites, featuring fluffy pancakes, cinnamon-dusted French toast, and seasonal berry toppings, perfect for starting the day on a sweet note. Meanwhile, the drinks menu offers fruity, refreshing cocktails, from a light Elderflower Spritz to the ever-popular Pornstar Martini.
