Wine and Wallop

A fabulous cafe bar, right on the high street in Prestwich, Wine & Wallop brings the ancient ritual of wine tasting into the modern age with a bright and contemporary space that's perfect for a lazy afternoon or evening.

Like a cottage tucked away up a cobbled street somewhere in the British countryside, it's impossible to resist Wine & Wallop's charm. Inside, it's every bit as quirky and countryside-esque as you can imagine, treating diners to all kinds of nooks and crannies to while away a cold winter's day or shelter from the summer heat. Built mainly from wood, it boasts the characteristics of a farmhouse but has added its own signature touch with mismatched furniture, plants aplenty, and shelves full of gorgeous nik naks that belong to another less complicated time.

Speaking of things that are delightfully uncomplicated, so is their menu! Instead of trying to impress with gastronomic titbits, they're going all in with the signature Wallop burger, the Wallop club sandwich, fish finger butties and lamb kofta. Can you think of anything better on a rainy Thursday afternoon? Whilst you're at it, treat yourself to some chicken skewers and dirty fries alongside for the mother of all late lunches. And then on Sunday, why not try their traditional Sunday roast with a choice of spatchcock chicken, roasted beef or slow braised lamb. There's even an option to try their take on tapas with a sharing roast dinner!
