The Clifton

Loved by Clifton locals, The Clifton is a contemporary pub with cosy yet vibrant dining rooms and a bustling bar, serving drinks and snacks throughout the day.

In the dining rooms, you'll find a daily changing menu of mega seasonal dishes showcasing the best produce from the local Bristol area. Inspired by British cooking, with the influence of fire, the focus is on sharing and feasting dishes, whilst Cory, the Head Chef, takes pride in making everything in-house. Like the other pubs in the group, it's all about seasonality and short supply chains. It's all very good for the soul and paramount to how we aim to work as these little pubs. Passion, care and love-filled work, with strong relationships built with farmers, fishmongers, gamekeepers and growers, as any traditional village pub should.

Inside, you'll find a mix of bric-a-brac, pewter tankards filling the bar, exposed brickwork and plenty of seating. It's unpretentious, friendly, and thriving. For drinkers who want to take their delicious snacks somewhere more comfy, there are drinks tables in the seating area next to the bar, should diners want to eat their dishes here.

Some current standout dishes include the asparagus, confit yolk, crumb & hafod and the steak and ale pie. They are proud to say that they earned both a Bib Gourmand from Michelin and landed 65th on the Top 100 Gastropubs list by Estrella, all within seven months of opening the doors; what an achievement!
