Ramen Ya

Ramen Ya has been banging out the ramen for over ten years in Bristol and is a culinary experience that makes miso happy!

It probably goes without saying, but the thing to order at Ramen-Ya is, well, ramen! The menu offers an array of authentic Japanese flavours, with dedicated broths and a seemingly unending mix-and-match of ingredients. It’s hard to miss the bowls of noodly goodness being ferried out of the kitchen. Whether you’re a miso, shoyu or tonkotsu fan, there’s a base flavour for you here, all served with homemade ramen noodles.

Take their namesake Ramen-Ya bowl, for example, where the clear base is topped with egg, spinach, fish cake, sweetcorn, bamboo shots and chashu – a hunk of BBQ pork. If you’ve got your ‘barefoot in the sand’ playlist all queued up at home, opt for the kizami with lobster paste – it’s everything you love about chilli crab out in Singapore, packed into a tasty noodle soup.

Jumping ship, their small plates are too good to pass up. Likes of kara-age chicken, marinated with soy, sake and ginger, are a prime example of Japanese gluten-free cuisine. Get your mates involved and get a sharing platter.
