A Bristol stalwart for more than 17 years, Fishers combines quality seafood with charming neighbourhood vibes.

Located in leafy Clifton Village, a beautiful Georgian shopping quarter, its cosy interiors combine nautical tablecloths with wooden panelling painted blue. It has all the intimacy of a much loved local’s spot due to the delicious seafood on offer and the friendly, attentive and welcoming service.

Their seafood and shellfish is sourced daily from the South Coast, and arrives from sea to plate within just a few hours. Choose from hot shellfish platters, fish and chips, whole roast seabass, skate wing, and their famous Scottish salmon fishcakes. More than 90% of the menu is gluten-free and there are plenty of veggie and vegan options too.

Net yourself Asian-inspired cod with pickled cucumber and fragrant rice pilaf, or remain firmly in the West Country with Cornish catch of the day, asparagus and new potatoes with lashings of butter.

The drinks list really does have something for everyone. There is an impressive selection of fine white wines, as well as craft gins, cocktails, digestifs, ales and quality proseccos to add a little sparkle to your meal.

It's located an easy stroll from Brunel’s suspension bridge and Royal York Crescent, but with food this good Fishers is a destination in itself.
