Sourdough pizza, cold beer and live music; The Stable is turning out to be somewhat of a triple threat. Add to that a water-side location and you have an awesome eatery the whole community can't get enough of.
It's charming, welcoming and full of beans. That's to say that The Stable boasts an infectious kind of energy that has diners subconsciously tapping their feet to the beat of the hottest local talent, gasping in amazement at the best regional beer on display and chattering ceaselessly over some of the best pizza Bristol has to offer.
Every morning at The Stable means a fresh batch of sourdough. Using organic grains from Shipton Mill in Gloucestershire, they hand-stretch each and every base, eventually topping them with homemade San Marzano tomato sauce. After the sauce (and the cheese, of course) comes a whole range of goodies, like Suffolk chorizo, Cobble Lane cured pepperoni, Somerset lamb and a golden drizzle of Cornish rapeseed oil.
Even vegetarians have a pick of the crop. Omnivores can find onion bhajis, roast squash, garlic mushrooms, plant-based mozzarella and a delicious jackfruit pepperoni atop their sourdough bases. And with mac n' cheese, sides and potatoes done every which way, The Stable always guarantees a hearty feed. Finally, wash it all down with anything from their huge range of local beers. With cider from the Cotswolds, bottles from Annings and other fizzy treats from Sheppy's, The Stable is the holy grail of Southern England.
