Toto's By The River

A riverside terrace with that something extra, Toto's by the River has to be one of Bristol's best-kept secrets.

Not only does it enjoy that easy-going riverside vibe, but Toto's can also be a party destination. With an ultra-modern interior made even funkier with an illuminated bar, the open-plan space is perfect for a raucous get-together. If, however, you want something more lowkey, grab an armchair next to a window and relax with some of the best views in town. And you don't need us to tell you how busy their patio is during the summer months...

As for the food, it's wonderfully unpretentious, serving up some of our favourite comforts eaten in generous portions. We have all the cheat-day must-haves like BBQ chicken wings, loaded nachos, battered prawns and spring rolls. Then we move on to heftier plates with the homemade burgers! This is the home of the minted lamb, battered fish and falafel burger. Not to mention the Toto's Titanic Burger with two beef patties, cheese, crispy bacon and a big dollop of relish.

Up next are the pizzas with spicy chicken, chilli beef, pepperoni, ham and an aptly named vegetarian dream which is just as dreamy as it sounds. Then onto the crispy duck pancakes, the pie of the day, chilli con Carne, beef lasagne and homemade curry. Totally delicious every time, Toto's really has it all.
